Sony Dual Shock 3

By Michele Narup

Sony’s Dualshock 3 controller for the Playstation 3 was released April 15. It is strange that it took them so long to come out with a vibrating controller, since rumble has been around since the days of the N64. It will have SIXAXIS technology and Bluetooth. The arrival of this new controller marks the death of the standard SIXAXIS we have come to love. They’re available for $54.99.

While the controller will work with all existing and future PS3 titles, the rumble feature will not. Playstation.blog.com created a list of games that will take advantage of this new feature.

The Death of HDDVD

This new SIXAXIS controller works wonderfully. The addition of the rumble feature gives the PS3 controller additional weight, making it feel like an actual controller rather than an empty shell.
