LCD TVs seem to get cheaper and more affordable for the new HD wave that’s taking place in America. Plasma screen maker LG Electronics said on Wednesday “it could not rule out the possibility that aggressive pricing strategy by Sony Corp could eventually impact its display unit.” Executives say that the move is not having any key blows on the company for now.

Both LCD and Plasma TV prices are expected to fall even more by the end of 2008. 720p HDTVs are really becoming more affordable because companies are introducing their 1080i and1080p displays, which offer an even better quality of picture. Companies obviously want to put their TVs in every home. So keep your eyes open for the rest of the year to see how far of a jump the TVs will take.
