Wow. I am definitely one of those people who get really freaked out by dolls. When I was a little girl, I played with stuffed animals, not dolls. Stuffed animals were safe, while dolls…well, dolls would come alive in the middle of the night and try to kill you. Think I’m lying? Ever seen Chucky from Child’s Play? Now what?

Okay, so maybe I’ve figured out that dolls won’t try to kill me at 2AM, but they still make my skin crawl, and after visiting the site www.strangedolls.com those feelings from when I was younger are starting to make themselves ever present again. Upon visiting the homepage, there is a picture of an unusually creepy doll, and this is mild for the rest of the site. From here, the user can click on the “Available Dolls” link at the top of the page, which will take them to an area where they can access “Original Limited Series.” This page will then show them a whole array of strange dolls that the site boasts “can’t be found anywhere else.” Ummm…that’s true.

The dolls found here have bloody noses, are “bird people”, or have had their mouths stitched shut. Oh yeah, and then there’s the doll that’s killed her child. Complete with blood…lots of blood. Very, very scary. Very, very weird.

I think the biggest question I have is, “Who on earth would buy these?” Is there really a market for these incredibly weird pieces? The answer has got to be yes. People have all sorts of crazy interests…and this just happens to be one of them.

My advice? If you plan on checking out this site, do it in a well-lit room with a lot of people. And don’t ever, ever rent Child’s Play—at least not for a long time. Enjoy!
